Welcome back mathematicians!
I hope you had a great vacation......and are ready to settle in to critical thinking! Today we brush the cobwebs off by adding with unlike denominators and then transition into subtracting with unlike denominators.
Remember that before you can add or subtract fractions you need the same size pieces (unit) - which means you need to have a common denominator. Don't forget you accomplish this by creating an equivalent fraction.
We settle back into our regular routine...so don't forget to carve out time each evening to work on your homework. If you have gotten rusty with your multiplication tables I encourage spending a bit of time practicing....as you use these frequently with fractions.
Tonight is our after school homework study session....if you need to call to get permission to stay just ask.
