Happy Monday Mathematicians,
I hope you found the equivalent fraction poster walk useful on Friday. Today we will take a few minutes at the beginning of the class to reflect on the posters and the learning outcomes from the activity.
Then we will delve into comparing fractions using our growing fractional reasoning skills that include: connecting to a benchmark, using our understanding of unit fractions, and finding equivalent fractions. What we work on as a whole group today....tomorrow you will work with a partner (or partners) to solidify that understanding. Also, as I will be out tomorrow, I am leaving all the graded work to be distributed then - that way we have more time today to practice.
