Today we continue to move through practice of addition and subtraction of fractions - taking away the region model and trying a number line approach. I know it may seem as if we are moving quickly, however these are the same steps we've been following all along and you'll have several days to practice once I've reintroduced non-model strategies....so don't get nervous.
Goals for today:
- Practice adding mixed numbers
- Subtract fractions after making equivalent fractions with common denominators

- Do pg. 59 1a. 1e. together as a reference
- Practice subtraction problems pg. 59 g. and pg. 60 3 & 4
